1971 Honda CL450 runs great again.

A CL 450 was at the shop today. It had a few issues, after new carb intake insulators, carb adjustments and some ignition system work, it went home running great. I love seeing another old bike being enjoyed again.

Cafe Racer black rim with stainless steel spokes.

Tools out and rim covered with vinyl tape.
The spokes can easily scratch the powder coated rim and cut through masking tape.

Laced and ready to true.

New rim strip, now for the tube and tire.
Always use a new rim strip and new tube when installing a new tire.

Final check and balancing.
Now for the front wheel.

Jorges Cafe Racer

The next cafe racer is beginning to take shape. I finished cleaning up the frame and it will be going to powder coat tomorrow. I hope to get the front end polished and the wheels laced and ready before it returns.

June was busy

June was a busy month. I only made three posts but I will make up for it in July. I snapped a few phots during the month with my phone, but will post some good ones this month.
Cases in the oven
We did some riding, but Chet had to stop for a restroom break. We didn't tell him about his new passenger.
Noah helping with some of the mock- up.

The Montesa saw some progress. Andy's CB900F will be back together this week. A bunch of rims and parts are back from the powder coater. July should be a great month at Old School Cafe Racer.
