What am I doing?

I am restoring existing motorcycles. I use the stock frame, I use the original engine.Sometimes I change the color or add a few different style elements. When I am done they look nice. They are fun to ride. They are much safer than when I started, because the worn parts were replaced with new ones.
That is what I am doing.

81 CB750 Cafe Racer for Jorge

This is a special order cafe racer and I have to have it finished by August. The wheels are going to powder coat this week and the stainless steel spokes and new tires will be ready when they return. The frame is ready for the new tail section, and the engine is waiting in line. I should be ready to tear into it next week.

Suzuki S32 Seat

I told Tami last week I needed to get some projects finished. The last few days have been very productive.
I just picked up the seat for the Suzuki S32 today!!

Custom CB750 Oil Tank

The parts are cut and ready to assemble. I will need to install the vent tubes and oil line bungs before I weld it up.

Cafe Racer Seat Pan

I took a little bit of time this morning to fab up a seat pan for one of my cafe racer projects. It came out just the way I wanted, on the first try, that makes it even better.

A little bit of filing, sanding and it will be ready to paint or powder coat.

Harleys at the Shop

It has been a little different at the shop lately. I have been working on several Harleys.
I haven't had much time to post anything, but I will get on it next week, so don't forget to check back.

Sears Gilera on No Chrome Friday

Mark and his beloved Gilera!!!!

We usually go riding after work on Fridays, but it has to be on one of our no chrome bikes.
Most of the time I spend working on motorcycles is spent restoring or rebuilding them, so it's nice to just jump on one of our latest barn finds and just enjoy the ride.

Other Stuff- Vacturi Carbs

I get some unusual stuff at the shop. This is the first time I have seen a set of Vacturi carbs from a vintage outboard racing engine.

I think I will clean them up and just put them on display. They are pretty cool.

Time to Build One

I have been working on several projects and getting the retail side of the shop up and running, but now it is time to get back to building a cafe racer. The fourth CB750 project has been sitting in the corner waiting patiently, so it is time to get busy, plus I need something else to ride for a while.
